Surveys are a great tool for teachers to gather information from students and parents to better assist their students. Most people would use end of the course surveys which is a great way to get feedback from students to see what material and education they received was meaningful. Another great use of surveys would be to send a survey to parents at the beginning of the year to see their preferred modes of communication. I would wend out surveys on a weekly basis asking students for a couple of things that they learned in class this week. It was interesting going through my classmates blogs and seeing some of the information that they are taking away from these assignments.  Being a distance learner has its benefits but also a few key drawbacks which has made it difficult for me to enjoy my time at FSU. One of the biggest benefits to being a distance learner is the flexibility it gives me in my schedule for work. It allows me to work almost full time and still have time to watch lectures after I get off work. Recording lectures is something I firmly believe in and allows students who have other obligations to flexibly plan their week. At the same time, it's difficult to engage the material and because professors are still navigating these new waters alongside us, it results in a lot of busy work assigned to the students which can be easily graded. If I am ever put in the situation where I have to teach on a distance learning platform, I will hold a zoom call every week to talk with students and then create smaller groups that I can pop into throughout the week. I have made many websites for school projects but I had never had to embed google calendars within the website. Utilizing calendars has not necessarily been my forte but whenever I do use them it helps me stay organized. I liked the design aspect of creating the website and making sure there was congruence and consistency throughout the website. Moving into my career the google calendar aspect of this website will help me stay organized and create consistency for my own schedule. https://dstarnes00.weebly.com/ My experience with Diigo prior to this class was little to none. Using Diigo was extremely helpful when finding websites, sharing them, and then annotating. Annotating websites is not something I have done in the past and didn't really see the benefit to. However, I found the process was very easy and helpful when you need to share media found on websi
